Pilates Method Studio
Yusun came to Pilates as a professional footballer — playing semi-professionally in Japan and in Korea’s professional league — where the method was used to build strength, sharpen performance, and prevent injury. Seeing its effect first-hand, he moved to Sydney to train in the classical method at Cynthia Lochard’s studio, qualifying as a certified Romana’s Pilates instructor in 2018.
With over eight years teaching at the studio, Yusun brings an athlete’s understanding of how the body performs under load. He works with athletes chasing a competitive edge and with anyone who wants to move with more strength, control, and vitality. He is also a certified football coach and physical education instructor.
Mick Bokyoung Cho holds a degree in physiotherapy and served as lead physiotherapist at the 2015 Asian Women's Junior Handball Championship, working with elite athletes under real competitive pressure. He brings that clinical understanding of the body into every Pilates session — which means the exercises he chooses aren't just safe for your condition, they're chosen specifically because of it.
Mick works with clients managing chronic back pain, recovering from joint replacement surgery, dealing with disc injuries, and rebuilding strength after illness or long periods of inactivity. His physiotherapy background lets him bridge the gap between clinical rehab and confident movement — translating a physio's notes or a surgeon's restrictions directly into Pilates programming, and rebuilding whole-body strength, coordination, and confidence over the longer term.

Here are some questions answered by Yusun about Pilates.
I played professional football in Japan and Korea, and discovered Pilates through my team’s training. I moved to Sydney to train in the classical method at Cynthia Lochard’s studio and qualified in 2018. I’m also a certified football coach and physical education instructor.
Athletes and active people who want a genuine performance edge, and anyone who wants to build real strength and control rather than just general fitness. If you train hard and want your body to keep up, this is the work.
I watch how you move first — where you’re strong, where you compensate, and what your body does under load. From there I build a programme around your goals, whether that’s performance, recovery, or simply moving better. You’ll leave the first session with a clear sense of where we’re starting and where we’re headed.
A lot of training builds fitness on top of whatever movement habits you already have — including the faulty ones. Classical Pilates rebuilds the foundation underneath: the deep control and stability that everything else is built on. For an active body, that’s the difference between training hard and training well.
Completely. As a former professional athlete, I know the difference between feeling like you’re working and actually getting results. I’ll tell you honestly what’s improving, what still needs work, and how long it’s realistically going to take.
